• Lone Oak Campsites, located at 360 Norfolk Road (Rte 44) East Canaan, Connecticut is a full service modern campground located in the beautiful hills of northwestern Connecticut.  The campground is executing a plan to modernize its facilities, and bring all of its facilities up to Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection most current standards.  The number of campsites presently total 500 with a planned expansion of full service (water, electric, cable, telephone and central sewer) sites located in a nicely wooded area.

• The BIOREN/Living Filter system has been approved to treat and process domestic sewage.  The system will be located approximately 125 feet upgradient to the Blackberry River.  The BIOREN system will also be used in the off season to process septage from a large number of septic tanks at the campground.  The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection will monitor the BIOREN performance to assure compliance with the Clean Water Act.
• The ability to process septage on site will reduce the load on local sewer plants, conserve energy and benefit the environment.
• From sampling and testing performed during the year 2000 there is no evidence of any negative impact on the downgradient groundwater.  To view a Chart click here.

LONE OAK Campgrounds have constructed a new Service Facility which empoys the latest and best technology available.  The laundy and Restrooms are housed within a structure built utilizing top grade materials and engineered for long term service.  The hardware used in the Handicap Restrooms is designed for ultimate safety and convenience.

WESTPORT, Connecticut  Residential System on a 5500 sf lot

• Space limitations on the small lot located between two waterways precluded the use of a Connecticut Department of Public Health code compliant septic system to enable the addition of a third bedroom.

• The introduction of a highly efficient FORM CELL Living Filter rated at 20.4 sf of effective leaching area per lineal foot allows for the installation of a code complying system on the small (6 x 25') available land area.
